MIRACULOUS MAHLER 8 WITH NNO

A whole week breathing MAHLER 8. For me, it meant a whole week living inside this piece - with 400 people - sharing one breath, one focus. 🎶

It started as something huge and complex: notes, schedules, logistics, responsibility. But along the way it became simpler. People listening. Trust growing. That quiet feeling of: we’ve got this, and we’ve got each other. 🍀

And that final concert surprised me. It wasn’t about volume or impact.

It felt inward. Still. Almost fragile. 400 people totally connected. 🤗

Mahler doesn’t talk in this symphony about winning or overpowering. He talks about redemption, being drawn upward, through LOVE. “Das Ewig-Weibliche zieht uns hinan.” Less ego. More listening. 😊

Standing at the helm, I felt how relevant that is right now. LOVE not as an idea, but as a daily choice: attention, care, responsibility. ❤️

I’ll carry this week with me the rest of my life. Not because of the scale, but because of the closeness. Moments like these remind me how powerful it is when people truly listen - to the music, and to each other. And when they connect with each other, and with our audience, in spirit and love. 🥰

Forever grateful.
